The office building was erected between 1975-1978. It was first amongst skyscrapers belonging to the architectural and urban complex of the West Bank. Upon its opening, it was the most modern and second highest )the Palace of Culture and Science being the highest) building in Poland. Chałubińskiego 8 is still one of the highest office buildings in Warsaw. As of 2020, 50.3% of shares are helb by CPI.
